The park is amazing! The staff are super friendly and helpful. We actually stopped in here to look for a Geocache and were very pleasantly surprised with this park. Full review by Trevor P

Beautiful camping and picnic sites. Camp sites are well spread out and allow for privacy. The park was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the Maine State Park stamp was missing. Full review by P6619XYkathyh

Q:
Is canoeing a safe option in the bays?
A:
It is quite protected but beware of the big tides. The wind can build later in the day but often the mornings are calm.

Hello, I read your review and was wondering if there were a few oceanside/ lakeside tent campgrounds that are dog friendly and sites where you're not right on top of your neighbors that you might recommend? Thank you!

Campsite #30 is definitely a bit more secluded- you are out on a point with no immediate neighbors. It was the perfect site for us with our dog. It's a short walk up a slight incline from the parking spot to the campsite. You walk past site #31 when walking in, but cannot see them once at the site. Our neighbors there at the time didn't even know we had a dog! There were many dogs in the campground, heard lots of barking throughout our stay. I can't speak to much else as we didn't explore the rest of the campground too much. In terms of waterfront / waterside, #30 was elevated with a very steep path down to the rocks. From what we could see along the peninsula to the right, those campsites seemed more level with the water but it was also very rocky and the rocks were covered in seaweed from the tides, so not incredibly walkable. We wanted a spot for our dog to swim but didn't find one at the campground. The Hamilton Cove hiking path to the beach in Lubec was where we eventually got her to dip in to the water.
