Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is a marine reserve in California on the Pacific Ocean, located just north of Pillar Point Harbor and Mavericks in the San Mateo County community of Moss Beach.

We will be in the area of Half Moon Bay when the tide is to be about 2 ft. Is that too high to see anything? I read that ideally you should go if it's 1 ft or below, but I wondered if it's worth going if it's slightly higher than that.

We went when the tide was about 2 ft and were still able to see things in the tide pools. I think it's worth your time to stop by.
