The signs are posted year round that say 4WD with snow tires or Tire chains so it will be at your discretion. I've been multiple times in my 4WD with no chains and have never had any …

The signs are posted year round that say 4WD with snow tires or Tire chains so it will be at your discretion. I've been multiple times in my 4WD with no chains and have never had any issues. I have seen 4WD vehicles stuck off the road due to some pretty difficult conditions and I'm speculating careless driving. The road is a normal dirt road with some sharp curves and gain in elevation, just drive cautiously in your 4WD and you should be totally fine. Have fun, its our favorite Hot Spring in CO.
