I hear there are a lot of steps to tour the castle. My husband can't walk very far at once and a lot of steps is out of the question. Could he see the bottom floor of the castle or are the steps on the outside? Thanks so much.
A:
Bottom floor should be no issue. The grounds outside might be a challenge but that depends on how much your husband is willing to walk on not so flat grounds!
Q:
How much for entry ticket?

Q:
How long to visit
A:
I would give a good 2 hours, especially if looking at gardens.
Q:
Is it owned by Historic Scotland?
A:
No, it is private still and well worth a visit
Q:
Is it possible to see the castle from the road? We will be driving by the castle and would like to know.
A:
Not really possible to see much from the road, but well worth a visit. The castle grounds, rooms and gardens are a must see on your tour! Might as well if you've come this far!
