What you need to know. Back in April, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the state of California would fully reopen on June 15th. This means that the color-coded reopening system, which Newsom unveiled last August, is ending. And all mask and general capacity limits will go away, with some exceptions.

Keeping Track Of Bay Area Restaurant Reopenings, By County

Here’s the status of restaurant reopenings in every Bay Area county. Last August, California started using a color-coded risk level assessment to determine a county’s reopening status. Indoor and outdoor businesses, like restaurants and gyms, that are allowed to reopen depend on the county’s risk level, classified as “widespread” (purple), “substantial” (red), “moderate” (orange), or “minimal” (yellow).

Where to Eat and Drink During San Francisco Pride 2021

In 2020, Pride in San Francisco was canceled entirely and this year Pride is still a little subdued. Thanks to the pandemic, there still will not be the usual rainbow-spangled parade and party, but fortunately, it also won’t be entirely virtual (Zoom fatigue is real). Pride looks a little different this year, in this limbo moment of reopening: Instead of just a weekend, it’s extending across the entire month of June, with a couple of outdoor movie nights on June 11 and 12, and a Black liberation event for Juneteenth on June 18, as well as smaller events popping up across the city.
