Latinx Street Food Pop-up Garzón Readies New Food Cart for the Summer

After two years slinging excellent Latinx street food with a party vibe, pop-up operation Garzón is branching out a bit as it readies a roving food cart called Ekéko. The concept is focused on what chef-owner Jose Garzón calls “drinking snacks” from all over Latin America, including Colombian dogs, Argentinian milanesa sandos, pineapple paletas, pinchos, and maizito (street corn topped with crispy pork belly).

As Washington Lifts Most COVID Restrictions, Restaurants Allowed to Open at Full Capacity

Restaurants can now reopen at full capacity, and there’s no cut-off time for alcohol. At 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, Washington officially lifted most of its COVID-related restrictions that had been in place in one form or another since March 2020. That means there’s no more capacity limits on restaurants.
