Shelbyville resident Noah Henderson is leading the charge on the Morrison Park Revitalization Project. The project included the restoration of the WWI monument at the city's oldest park. We are coming into picnic and cookout season, and we tend to change our dietary preferences from soups and casserole type side dishes to grilled food and cold salads. Pasta, potatoes, and fruit make delicious salads and go with so many foods. I am excited to watch broccoli crowns emerge from their leafy origins and make broccoli salad fresh from the garden.

Benjamin’s Coffeehouse and Bakeshop is located at 49 E. Court St. Franklin, Indiana. Benjamin’s is now open to the public serving different beverages and foods such as wraps, paninis, and baked goods. Over the past decade, Franklin’s downtown area has thrived. Unique restaurants, boutiques and coffee shops have made for a vibrant scene, coupled with community events, festivals and concerts.
