Graeter’s Ice Cream has released the third of five bonus flavors this season, and it’s sure to be a sweet one: Churro. Available starting Monday in Graeter’s stores and online, Churro is a combination of cinnamon ice cream with crunchy churro pieces. As with other bonus flavors, Churro is considered a limited time only flavor, and once it’s gone from stores and online, it’s retired for the year.

The first Dayton-area franchise of an Ohio-based business specializing in desserts is set to open later this week. Whit’s Frozen Custard business operator Jeffrey Neace said he plans to open the Ohio 48 site on the north end of Centerville’s Uptown district this Friday. That’s just before the July 3-4 Americana Festival.

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – Pickle lovers from all over came to Miamisburg to relish in the celebration of all things dill. Miamisburg held its first ever Pickle Festival at Austin Landing Saturday afternoon. The event had live music and a beer garden and more than two dozen vendors set up shop at the festival selling all-things pickles and pickled.

Old Scratch Pizza, known for its Naples-style pizzas cooked in wood-fired ovens, is opening a third location in Beavercreek. The new restaurant will be located at 2450 Dayton Xenia Road in the building that previously housed The Wellington Grille “This has been a part of the Dayton area that we have had our eye on for a while,” Eric Soller, co-founder of Old Scratch Pizza said in a press release.
