Huntington, Ind. (WPTA) - Last Friday, a fire badly damaged the Pizza Junction restaurant in Huntington. But the owners say the restaurant isn’t going anywhere. The fire, smoke, and water damage is bad enough that the building will need completely redone. The owners say they’d like the building to keep its historic charm, and they think it’ll take at least a year to be rebuilt.

Firefighters respond to the fire at Pizza Junction on Friday afternoon. Fire Marshal David Teusch said the department was dispatched to the scene at 1:57 p.m. Pizza Junction co-owner Austen Dettling shared photographs showing the damage to the interior of the restaurant. Austen Dettling said the plan is to rebuild Pizza Junction in a way that will “retain the historic value” of the restaurant.
