Corn planting is nearly complete in Minnesota. USDA’s latest weekly crop report says at 98 percent, this year’s pace trails 2021 by more than two weeks and the five-year average by eight days. Corn emergence is 85 percent, with 58 percent considered good to excellent. Soybean planting advanced to 88 percent, compared to 100 percent a year ago and 96 percent normally.
