Napa cabbage, (know in Japan as 白菜 hakusai, also known outside of Asia as Chinese cabbage, Chinese leaf in the UK and wombok in Australia), is mostly a winter vegetable in Japan, although it can be found in many supermarkets in Europe or North America all year long. Although it's used in various Asian cuisines to make everything from pickles, soups, and hot pots, one pet peeve people often have with this type of cabbage is that it's easy to end up with unused cabbage when you buy them because of their large size.

STROUD TOWNSHIP, PA — Six puppies, believed to be less than one week old, were found inside a bag in a shopping cart at the Mount Pocono Walmart. "It is horrible because they could have suffocated in a plastic bag," said Wendy Edwards, the vet tech at the Animal Welfare Society of Monroe, also known as AWSOM, in Stroud Township.

The Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD) said in a report that households are set to pay more for essentials including dairy, bread and meat as recent inflation looks set to grow further. IGD have reported that factors including uncontrolled increases in labour costs, trade disruptions caused by Brexit and the weakening of the sterling against other currencies could be behind the rising inflation rate.
