ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Celebrate the start of summer with some messy fun — the kind that parents don’t have to clean up afterwards. The first day of Rochester Museum and Science Center’s Mess-tival kicked off Monday, bringing all sorts of slimy, science-y fun to guests. Student scientists will be able to experiment with creating clean mud (a combination of soap, water, and toilet paper), making and taking home their own “summer ocean slime,” and painting a masterpiece entirely out of bubbles.

Sir Hubert, who sits comfortably in the Sport Australia Hall of Fame, has had his international cycling feats publicly celebrated in Rochester since the early 1990s.

Chef Patron Jamal Uddin Ahmed - who owns Shozna Indian and Bangladeshi Restaurant in Rochester - recently took inspiration from the Curry Life Culinary Workshop in London and is looking forward to raising his game even further. The Swan Dive in Rochester has closed permanently; so has the Chick-fil-A drive-up kiosk at the Beaver Valley Mall. Such was some of the dining news to reach Beaver County-ites this past weekend. A Bloody Mary, Swan Dive style. "We are saddened to announce that Swan Dive has permanently closed its doors," a June 18 post on the business' Facebook page said.
