A:
No you cannot bring your pet inside, the exhibits are all inside a building. There are lovely grounds and a parkway to walk your dog if you needed exercise.

No there is no problem bringing kids of any age to the museum there are many things to do and see, the helicopter rides I believe you can book in advance but it all comes down to weather. Call the museum and they can give specifics on rides. Another thing you may look into is the discovery pass which allows you into a few museums and a discounted family rate museumspassport
