For me, this is the ultimate war memorial. While uniformly gray, the Pancho clad statues slogging through the field have a compelling life to them. Pro tip: try to go at dusk for maximum effect. One … Full review by montanapescado

Truly amazing, especially when seen in the evening. Soldiers in trenches, ''Freedom is not Free'' fountain, etched wall, many names of fallen heroes. Truly beautiful and impressive. Full review by Bea B

I well-up when I visit the memorial. It triggers an understanding of what our brave solders experiences and endured. The expressions on the faces show the emotional aspects of being on patrol. They are vigilant fearful and even bored For monotony. I hope your dad survived and could see this heart rendering memorial. God bless him and all who serve out great nation.

All of the Smithsonian Museums are also free of charge. This includes the Air and Space Museum, the Museum of Native Americans, the Botanical Gardens, the National Art Gallery, and many more. Walking in Washington is a joy as is taking a driving tour--if you have a car anyway. Some hidden treasures include Embassy Row--the Embassies of Countries from around the world, Rock Creek Park right in the heart of the city--a national park (and all of the National Parks are free or nearly so). A little bit of planning using a travel guide on the Internet will show you some of the possibilities. Come to Washington and enjoy.

A:
The memorials are free, if you want to go up into the Washington Monument I would find out what day you will be there and pay the small fee online and get them ASAP!!
Q:
Are the names of the soldiers who died listed on the Korean War monument?
A:
There are no names currently listed at this memorial like there is at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, although work is being done to add this feature later.
