The Barrakka Lift is a lift in Valletta, Malta which was constructed in 2012, on the site of a previous lift which had operated from 1905 to 1973 and which was demolished in 1983.

No queue when we used the lift last month. Probably takes only 30 seconds. Not sure if you can buy in advance, sorry. .

I don't think so. Access to the war rooms is from the Upper Barrakka garden. The lift goes down to the 3 cities ferry terminal.
