I do believe you can as I did not see any signs restricting animals. But please, as in any park or public area, be prepared to pick up anything your pet deposits.

Sorry I don't know about the trains. However, the Park Ranger will arrive at the appointed time at the back of the house, or the farm, and will talk to anyone waiting there. Park Rangers …

Sorry I don't know about the trains. However, the Park Ranger will arrive at the appointed time at the back of the house, or the farm, and will talk to anyone waiting there. Park Rangers at reception in the Visitor's Center will advise you of the times and locations - there is no need to book.
