This is an entirely pedestrian bridge and has the state line marked where OH hits KY. I like standing in 2 states at one time, so I found this fun. It's a short walk to either side with pretty views… Full review by jenandallthethings

Nice place for a relaxing scenic walk. Walked back and forth while staying at a Newport hotel. I dont know how long of a walk it is, but, it was nice. Seemed safe, too. Full review by Walby

This was fun to visit - the purple has seemed to fade more to a grey sadly but neat nonetheless to visit. Full review by B3638JBjamier

My bf and I like to Walk and explore. I don't care if I stay in cincy or Kentucky but what hotels would you recommend for not only walking this bridge but just walking and exploring in general. I am not familiar with the area at all and we will only be in town for 1 day.

We stayed at the Residence Inn "The Phelps" by Marriott (see my review) on 4th St, downtown Cincinnati. It's 2 blocks from the bridge, which allows easy access to Newport on the Levee across the river (KY side). You are also fairly close to everything downtown Cincinnati; 5 blocks from Fountain Square. I used Trip Advisor to find the hotel, and we were very pleased. Enjoy your trip!

We like to sit on the Cincy side as there are so many activities and vendors. Go early and set up chairs-go enjoy the music and festivities and return at dusk to your chairs to watch the greatest firework show ever! You will not be disappointed. The best time we had at Riverfest was when we booked a riverboat dinner cruise (I'm sure it is already booked this year) We had a delicious buffet on the river boat cruising on the Ohio River then returned to the dock to watch the fireworks from the upper level of the river boat.
