We are tied up during the day in meetings - are we able to visit the cemetery on our own after 5:00?

Yes especially during the summer when the light is still good until almost 9

Does it cost to get in ?
A:
It didn't cost to get in but the tour did the tour it self was very inexpensive

Sandals or sneakers?
A:
Sneakers would be more comfortable throughout the walkways in the cemetery. Some of them are brick.

is there parking on site and do you have to pay for it?

Parking is available and it's free. If the lot if full, street parking is available around the restaurants.

Hello. As a historic site, some portions of Oakland Cemetery are not wheelchair accessible due to uneven cobblestones, however much of the cemetery can be traversed in a wheelchair. Additionally, our Visitors Center and Museum Shop offers a wheelchair for guests to borrow if needed.
