But based on my experience with buses in Japan, they are driven rather slow, and the ride is quite comfortable - motion sickness should be the least of your concern. How much time is needed to visit ShinHotaka Ropeway and Takayama? Does Takayama need one full day or lesser is fine to explore the place? I will be there in mid-Dec but contemplating if I should visit ShinHotaka as that would mean shorten my time in Takayama. I understand the scenery is very beautiful but does December have a high chance of cloudiness? Thank you!
