A Cork animal charity has said they have seen a major increase in the number of pet owners surrendering their loved companions as the ongoing cost of living crisis forces dog owners to make some very tough decisions. Susie Jones of the St. Vincent De Paws animal welfare group in Cork has never been so busy, saying that she is receiving a major increase in calls from devastated dog owners who simply can't afford to care for them anymore.
