CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) -- Dogs have a new playground in Jackson County Freinds of Carbondale Dog Park cut the ribbon on the city's first public dog park Saturday morning at Parish Park. The area was previosly a soccer field, which was given over to the construction of the dog park after the soccer program moved games to another spot.

Construction is moving forward on the new food hall at the Station at Riverdale Park. Now named Le Fantome, after the French word for “ghost,” the food hall and ghost kitchen facility will feature 8,500 square feet with a total of nine food vendors. Along with a wrap-around bar, Le Fantome will have indoor and outdoor seating for more than 175 people.

HARRISBURG, PA — The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) recently recognized 27 individuals for their contributions of time, talent, and expertise in 2020 and 2021 at a virtual Volunteer of the Year Ceremony, held on Saturday, April 30. Weber, in memoriam, Drake Well Museum & Park/Friends of Drake Well; Jo Ann Long, Joseph Priestley House/Friends of Joseph Priestley House; and Norman Oelschlegel, The State Museum of Pennsylvania.
