PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- May is salad month! This week, Rania Harris is making a salad featuring Ramen Noodles! 3 - 3-ounce packets chicken-flavored ramen noodles, seasoning packets discarded ¾ cup chopped almonds ¾ cup vegetable oil ½ cup rice vinegar 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil 4 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce (or more to taste) 3 tablespoons honey 1 tablespoon Asian chili-garlic sauce (or more to taste) Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 3 cups thinly sliced red cabbage 3 cups thinly sliced green cabbage 6 green onions, thinly sliced 1 - 2 large carrots, shaved into ribbons using a vegetable peeler 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, plus more for garnish 1 - 10.7-ounce can Mandarin oranges, drained 1 avocado, diced

PNC Park hosts Family Walk

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Hundreds came out to PNC Park yesterday, but not for a baseball game. A Family Walk was held to bring awareness to mental health programming and initiatives in addition to helping reduce stigmas surrounding mental health. Participants walked the one-mile course throughout the ballpark with the walk ending at home plate.
