GALENA (WREX) — The Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that it is looking for information the disappearance and death of a Galena woman.
Laura A. Kowal, 57, was reported missing on Aug. 7, 2020, and was last seen at about noon near her home outside of Galena, according to the sheriff's office.
Her body was found a few days later, on Aug. 9, 2020, in the Mississippi River near Canton, Missouri. Kowal's 2016 white Honda pilot was found in Warsaw, Illinois, the same day, according to the sheriff's office.
