The leaked Galaxy S20 Ultra rear camera module confirms 100x zoom

The leaked Galaxy S20 Ultra camera module also confirms 100x zoom for the periscope camera. Samsung will try to achieve the type of voodoo that the Huawei P30 Pro was able to achieve with the periscope camera. It will be interesting to see how well will it be executed.

That camera will work best in good lighting conditions, don’t expect such huge zoom capabilities to do wonders in low light. We’re only guessing, though, based on what we’ve seen before. Samsung may yet surprise us.

In addition to that periscope camera, which is said to be represented by a 48-megapixel sensor by Sony. The Galaxy S20 Ultra will include three additional cameras on the back.

The device is said to sport a 108-megapixel main camera (wide-angle one). This will be Samsung’s very own sensor, in fact, the one that the company made especially for this phone. It will not be the one that the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 includes.

A 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera will also be included in the package, and the same goes for a ToF 3D camera. If you’re wondering, the Galaxy S20 Ultra will sport a 40-megapixel camera on the front.

This handset will become official on February 11, along with its siblings, the Galaxy S20 and S20+. The Galaxy S20 Ultra will be the most powerful S20 handset, and the only one that will not arrive in a 4G variant.

The Snapdragon 865G will fuel this phone in most markets. Some markets will get the Exynos 990 variant, though, markets like India. Android 10 will come pre-installed on the phone, along with Samsung’s custom UI.

The phone will include a 5,000mAh battery, according to rumors and leaks. A 6.9-inch QHD+ 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED display will also be included in the package.
