Following relentless leaks and speculations, it appears that Samsung is releasing its next flagship smartphone under the name Samsung Galaxy S20. Based on leaks, we also learned that the series will be available in three models, namely the Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra. A new series of leaks courtesy of a reputable tipster reveals the camera configuration of the three Galaxy S20 models.

On Twitter, Ice Universe shares the details of the image sensor models that the Samsung Galaxy S20 models will use. Another reputable tipster Max Weinbach also shares rich information about the upcoming devices’ camera sensors. Based on the information, it appears that Samsung will use a combination of Sony and Samsung camera sensors.

Samsung Galaxy S20 And Galaxy S20 Plus

The camera module of both the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Plus are almost identical. However, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus comes with a 3D Time of Flight sensor, which is a Sony IMX516. For the primary camera, both models feature a Sony IMX555 12 megapixel camera.

The sensor features a huge 1.8µm pixels. In addition to the primary camera, both models will sport a telephoto camera with an S5KGW2 sensor. So far, no additional information is available yet for this sensor. Online whispers, however, claim that it could be related to the 64-megapixel ISOCELL GW1 sensor.

Moreover, both Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus will feature an ultrawide camera using the S5K2LA camera sensor with 12-megapixel resolution. S5Kl2 sensors, according to GSM Arena, ranges between .25µm and 1.4µm pixels relative to the model.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will use S5KHM1 for its primary camera with a 108-megapixel sensor. Xiaomi Mi Note 10 uses S5KHMX 108-megapixel sensor, and it appears that Samsung utilizes a custom version with the S20 Ultra model. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra also sports an ultrawide 44MP S5KGH1, 1/1.26", 0.7µm camera sensor.

Additionally, the S20 Ultra features a zoom camera with 48-megapixel IMX586, 1/2", 0.8µm. It also has a selfie 10MP IMX375, 1/3.2", 1.22µm. Based on the details shared by tipsters, the Galaxy S20 Ultra features a telephoto camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor.

All three Samsung Galaxy S20 models feature a selfie camera with a Sony IMX374 sensor. It sports a 10 MP sensor, Dual Pixel AF, and 1.22µm pixels. Samsung used this same module on the current generation Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Samsung Galaxy S10.
