A 21-year-old Massachusetts woman suffered head injuries early Sunday when she lost control of an ATV and crashed on Schenkar Road in Pownal.

Vermont State Police say Lauren Holmes of Adams was not wearing a helmet when the vehicle flipped and rolled over several times.

Holmes was transported to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield for treatment of head injuries and lacerations. Her condition is unknown.
