How many NJ coronavirus cases are there?

As of May 25, there were 155,092 reported cases in the state, including 965 additional cases disclosed Monday. 

New Jersey has completed a total of 603,807 tests.

How many deaths in NJ reported today from coronavirus complications?

As of May 25, New Jersey has a total of 11,144 deaths related to coronavirus. Officials reported 16 new deaths statewide on Monday. 

The racial breakdown of those who have died in New Jersey is: 53.5% white, 19.1% Hispanic, 18.6% black, 5.5% Asian and 3.4% classified as other.

How many people are hospitalized with coronavirus in NJ?

In New Jersey, 2,755 individuals with confirmed or potential cases of COVID-19 were hospitalized as of 10 p.m. Sunday.

There were 212 patients discharged in the last 24 hours. 

Here are the hospitalizations broken down by region:

  • North: 1,323 hospitalizations
  • Central: 776 hospitalizations
  • South: 656 hospitalizations

Of those hospitalized patients, 719 patients are in intensive care or critical care and 1,716 are in medical surgical beds. 

The state is using 17.3% of its statewide ventilator capacity, with 540 patients on ventilators. Ventilator usage continues to decline in New Jersey.

How many coronavirus cases are reported at NJ nursing homes? 

Long-term care facilities continue to be a concern across the state with 5,654 coronavirus deaths among facility residents and 101 among staff. 

Overall there have been 30,452 reported COVID-19 cases at 536 long-term care facilities across the state.
