Michigan reports 557 new coronavirus cases, 8 deaths

The Michigan health department has confirmed an additional 557 coronavirus cases, bringing the state's total case number to 87,960 as of Monday.

Monday's report also includes eight new deaths. This brings the statewide COVID-19 death toll to 6,257.

Data also included 63,636 total recoveries as of Friday, 3,614 confirmed since the previous week's report. 

The state also reported 9,346 probable cases and 269 probable deaths, for a total of 97,306 cases and 6,526 deaths.
