Roche, Erik Mitchell John July 28, 1985 - August 16, 2019 Age 34, of Robbins dale, MN, passed away on August 16, 2019. Erik grew up in the Edina/Minneapolis area, and graduated from Edina High School and Dunwoody College. He worked as an elevator repairman for Schindler Elevator. He loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, traveling, and visiting his family cabin in Northern WI. Words cannot express what an incredibly loving human being he was, who would do anything for his family and friends. He fought an intense battle with cancer in his 20s and bravely survived. He was preceeded in death by his brother Shane Roche, and grandmothers Marilyn Anderson and Rita Roche. He is survived by his loving wife of one year, Rachel Roche and their dog, Marengo; his mother, Brenda Roche; his father, John Roche; sister, Shauna Kieffer; brother-in law, Tony Kieffer and their children Annika & Jack; brother Patrick Roche and Sydney Brau; and his grandfathers, Richard Anderson and Bill Roche; along with many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of his family, and dear friends and coworkers. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to U of M Children's Cancer Research Fund. Erik continued to donate to this foundation after his own fight with cancer. He will be deeply missed. Funeral Visitation is Thursday, August 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway Ave., Robbinsdale, MN.
