CHEBOYGAN — Thirty-four decorated holiday trees will go home with new owners this season after the McLaren Cheboygan Campus Guild’s first Festival of Trees.

The event is a raffle fundraiser for the McLaren Northern Michigan Cheboygan Campus with all proceeds staying in the Cheboygan area’s community.

Tree themes range from classic red and green to winter wonderland, floral and glitzy. Additional prizes of gift baskets and gift certificates will also be raffled.

The event kicked-off Nov. 9 with over $1,700 in raffle ticket sales during the first two hours.

The trees are on display at the Fernelius Toyota Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram showroom, 11283 N. Straits Highway, Cheboygan this week.

Raffle tickets can be purchased for $1 each. Raffle tickets are placed in the box next to the prize one wants to win.

The drawing will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17.

Winners do not need to be present at the drawing to win prizes, but winners will be asked to pick up prizes by the end of the day Sunday.

Shari Schult, Brenda Butts, Dave Fernelius, Kathie Nihls and Kim Pappas are shown at the Festival of Trees Preview Brunch Saturday.
