Corpus Christi ISD is offering free immunizations for students who have not met state requirements.

Parents or guardians will need to be present and provide a shot record or a copy of a letter from their campus nurse verifying the immunizations needed.

“This is an opportunity for students to avoid being dropped from enrollment due to non-compliance of immunizations,” a news release stated.

Amistad Clinic will administer shots to elementary students at Garcia Elementary from 8:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Elementary students who are not insured or who have Medicaid or CHIPS can get their vaccinations at no charge. Those who have insurance will be given an order to obtain their shots at local pharmacies.

South Texas Family Planning Agency will give shots to middle and high school students at no cost. They can visit any of the following locations:

  • 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Miller High School
  • 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Cunningham Middle School at South Park
  • 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Kaffie Middle School
