Inside ‘RHOC’ newbie Gina Kirschenheiter’s divorce

The newest “Real Housewives of Orange County” addition is getting ready for a divorce battle.

Gina Kirschenheiter’s estranged husband Matthew filed court documents for joint legal and physical custody of their three children, according to The Blast. Matthew agreed to pay Gina spousal support in his papers, but asked to keep everything he owned before the marriage and his post-separation earnings.

When Gina filed for divorce on April 2, she asked for joint legal custody and sole physical custody of Nicholas, 6, Sienna, 4, and Luca, 3.

Gina and Matthew tied the knot on May 15, 2010. But she claimed that they separated on March 30, 2018, while Matthew listed April 3, 2018, as their date of separation.

The estranged couple had an odd living arrangement in the months leading to their separation, as Matthew lived in a Los Angeles apartment during the week and traveled to be with his family in Orange County on the weekends. Gina even told Tamra Judge that she had no idea where his apartment was located in Los Angeles, as she had never seen it.

He also did not want to film for the Bravo show at his employer’s request.

Despite their pending divorce, the couple recently celebrated Nicholas’ birthday together.
