AMA/Suzuki Dual Sport Series 2001 schedule set, '00 winners named
PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- Dual-sport riding may be its own reward, but a chance
to win a brand new Suzuki motorcycle and other valuable off-road riding
accessories and apparel isn't a bad prospect, either.
Last year, more than 2,700 off-road riding enthusiasts enjoyed the outdoors
and were entered to win prizes in the 2000 American Motorcyclist Association
(AMA) Suzuki National Dual Sport Trail Ride Series. And while 41 lucky series
participants were randomly selected as winners, none was luckier than Buddy
Norton Sr. of McDonald, Pa., who won the grand prize 2000 Suzuki DR Z400S
dual-sport motorcycle valued at $5,449 from Title Sponsor American Suzuki Motor
Corp.
Each year, series participants are entered into a year-end drawing for
thousands of dollars worth of prizes, including $500 of clothing from Associate
Sponsor Moose Racing and prizes from AXO, Chatter Box, Clarke Manufacturing,
Cycra, Fox Racing, Kenda Tire, Motowear International, MSR, PJ1 Lubricants,
Progressive Suspension and Shift.
This year's 16-event series begins April 28-29 in Renfro Valley, Ky. For
