  •  Xin Li, Ph.D.

    Xin Li joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Li holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Cincinnati, an M.S. in economics from Texas A&M University and a B.A. in economics from the Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing, China.

  • Tripti Singh, Ph.D. 

    Tripti Singh joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Singh holds a Ph.D. in management information systems from the University of Alabama; an M.B.A. with a concentration in information systems and an M.P.H. with a concentration in health care organization and policy, both from the University of Alabama at Birmingham; an M.S. in clinical nutrition from Punjab Agricultural University, India; and a B.S. from Gobind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, India.

APPLIED COMPUTING

  • Ashraf I. Saleem, Ph.D.

    Ashraf Saleem joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Saleem holds a Ph.D. from DeMontfort University in Leicester, U.K.; an M.S. in mechatronics engineering, also from DeMontfort University; and a B.S. in electrical engineering/computer from Philadelphia University in Amman, Jordan.

COMPUTER SCIENCE

  • Dukka B. KC, Ph.D.

    Dukka KC joins Michigan Tech as an associate professor. KC holds a Ph.D. and M.Inf. in informatics, both from the Graduate School of Informatics at Kyoto University in Kyoto, Japan; and a B.Eng. in computer science from the School of Engineering at Kyoto University.

  • Xinyu Lei, Ph.D. 

    Xinyu Lei joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Lei holds a Ph.D. in computer science and engineering from Michigan State University, and an M.S. and B.S. in computer science, both from Chongqing University in China.

  • Chunxiu (Traci) Yu, Ph.D.

    Chunxiu (Traci) Yu joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Yu holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Neurobiology at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel; an M.S. from the Department of Biological Engineering, College of Life Science, at Anhui Agricultural University in China; and a B.S. from the Department of Food Science and Engineering, School of Food Science and Technology, at Dalian Polytechnic University in China. 

ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING

  • Yunting (Yuna) Liu, Ph.D. 

    Yunting (Yuna) Liu joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Liu holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Michigan State University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China.

  • Shane Oberloier, M.S. 

    Shane Oberloier joins Michigan Tech as an adjunct instructor. Oberloier holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from Michigan Technological University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Saginaw Valley State University. 

ENGINEERING FUNDAMENTALS

  • Matthew J. Barron, Ph.D.

    Matthew Barron joins Michigan Tech as a senior lecturer. Barron holds a Ph.D. and B.S. in biomedical engineering, both from Michigan Technological University.

  • James A. Bittner, Ph.D.

    James Bittner joins Michigan Tech as a lecturer. Bittner holds a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a B.S. in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University.

  • Michelle E. Jarvie-Eggart, Ph.D.

    Michelle Jarvie-Eggart joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Jarvie-Eggart holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in environmental engineering, an M.S. in environmental policy, and a B.S. in environmental engineering, all from Michigan Technological University. Jarvie-Eggart also has a graduate certificate in sustainability, also from Michigan Tech.

  • Kenneth A. Thiemann, M.S. 

    Kenneth Thiemann joins Michigan Tech as a lecturer. Thiemann holds an M.S. in environmental engineering from Michigan Technological University and the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands; a B.S. in civil engineering with concentration in environmental engineering from Michigan Technological University; and a B.S. in geology and natural resources from the University of Michigan. Thiemann also has a secondary education teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University.

  •  Julia I. Burton, Ph.D.

    Julia Burton joins Michigan Tech as an associate professor. Burton holds a Ph.D. in forest ecology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.S. in forest biology, ecology, conservation and management from the University of Minnesota, and a B.S. in forest ecosystem management and restoration from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

  • Valoree S. Gagnon, Ph.D. 

    Valoree Gagnon joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Gagnon holds a Ph.D. in environmental and energy policy, an M.S. in environmental policy, and a B.S. in social sciences, all from Michigan Technological University.

  • Steven L. Voelker, Ph.D. 

    Steven Voelker joins Michigan Tech as an associate professor. Voelker holds a Ph.D. in forest science and wood science from Oregon State University, an M.S. in forestry from the University of Missouri, and a B.S. in forest management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

  • Claire Danielson, M.S.

    Claire Danielson joins Michigan Tech as a lecturer and director of the medical laboratory science program. Danielson holds an M.S. in biology with a concentration in laboratory management and a B.S. in medical laboratory science, both from Michigan Technological University.

  • Robert A. Larson, Ph.D. 

    Robert Larson joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Larson holds a Ph.D. in biological sciences with a concentration in neurophysiology, an M.S. in biological sciences with a concentration in cardiovascular physiology, and a B.S. in business administration, all from Michigan Technological University. Larson also has a B.S. in clinical laboratory science from Northern Michigan University.

  • Travis Wakeham, M.S.

    Travis Wakeham joins Michigan Tech as a lecturer and academic advisor. Wakeham holds an M.S. in biological sciences and a B.S. in biological sciences with a pre-professional concentration, both from Michigan Technological University. Wakeham also has a graduate certificate in post-secondary STEM education, also from Michigan Tech.

  • Thomas C. Adolphs, Ph.D.

    Thomas Adolphs joins Michigan Tech as a visiting assistant professor. Adolphs holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in rhetoric and technical communication, both from Michigan Technological University, and a B.F.A. from Northern Michigan University.

  • Joshua Chase, Ph.D.

    Joshua Chase joins Michigan Tech as an adjunct assistant professor. Chase holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Humanities at Michigan Technological University, an M.A. from the Department of English at St. Cloud State University and a B.A. from the College of Liberal Arts at Metropolitan State University.

  • Jennifer Nance, M.F.A.

    Jennifer Nance joins Michigan Tech as a visiting instructor. Nance holds a M.F.A. in creative writing and a B.A. in English from the University of South Florida.

MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES

  • Patrick McFall, M.S. 

    Patrick McFall joins Michigan Tech as an instructor. McFall holds an M.S. in applied/computational mathematics, a B.S. in applied/computational mathematics, and a B.S. in mechanical engineering, all from Michigan Technological University.

  • Qian Zhang, Ph.D.

    Qian Zhang joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Zhang holds a Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Wayne State University, an M.S. in computational mathematics from Beijing Computational Science Research Center in Beijing, China, and a B.S. in computational mathematics from Jilin University in Changchun, China.

VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

  • Kristy Dodson, M.F.A.

    Kristy Dodson joins Michigan Tech as a visiting assistant professor. Dodson holds an M.F.A. in directing from Brooklyn College and a B.F.A. in acting from The Conservatory of Theatre Arts & Film at the State University of New York (SUNY) Purchase College.

  • Sara JD Gosses, M.F.A.

    Sara Gosses joins Michigan Tech as an assistant professor. Gosses holds an M.F.A. in stage design from Northwestern University and a B.A. in theatre management from Hope College.

  • Kyle Knickerbocker, M.S.R.A.

    Kyle Knickerbocker joins Michigan Tech as a visiting lecturer. Knickerbocker holds an M.S.R.A. in recording arts and pedagogy from the University of Colorado Denver and a B.S. in interdisciplinary computing and the arts from the University of California San Diego.
