Restaurateur Anthony Scotto of renowned Fresco by Scotto has announced his first individual project beyond New York City — Luogo, expected to arrive in Nashville later this year.

While visiting family in town for the past five years, Scotto has felt called to bring a new culinary vision to Nashville after growing familiar with the local scene and business environment.

“Like many New Yorkers, my family and I have fallen in love with Music City and it’s hospitality community — after years of frequent visits, we already feel like Nashville is home,” Scotto stated in a press release.

The new restaurant concept, which is named after “the place” in Italian, will be located in The Gulch. Scotto’s Fresco by Scotto has consistently been praised for its high-quality service and its impeccable dishes since its November 1993 opening — which are also qualities expected to be present at the upcoming Luogo.

Authentic Italian food such as Eggplant & Zucchini Pie, Grilled Pizza Margherita and Veal & Chicken Bolognese will be on the menu. Other anticipated happenings are a weekend brunch, a weekday power lunch and a weekly Sunday Supper featuring Scotto’s popular Sunday sauce. A wide assortment of desserts as well as wine and cocktail lists will be available too.

Scotto is ready for guests to experience Luogo’s modern, welcoming environment, “We’re looking forward to settling into Nashville’s exciting and dynamic restaurant scene.”
