Evergreen Arboretum: The Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens is hosting a plant sale 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 19 and noon to 4 p.m. June 20 at American Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett. Septic sense: The Snohomish Conservation District is hosting a “Septic Sense” webinar from 6 to 8 p.m. July 2 via Zoom. Teri King, the leading Septic Specialist for Washington SeaGrant, offers many years of experience hosting septic workshops throughout the Puget Sound. Her webinar will teach you about different types of systems and how they function, funding sources for repairs and more. A Zoom link will be emailed to you with registration. Pruning 101: The Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens is hosting a “Summer Pruning” class at 6 p.m. July 14 via Zoom. A Zoom link to the class will be emailed with registration. Trevor Cameron, general manager of Sunnyside Nursery, will go over basic rules of pruning, concentrating on spring-blooming shrubs (like rhododendrons and azaleas) and thinning of trees for summer health and lasting beauty. Edmonds in Bloom: A self-guided garden tour, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 18, featuring six private gardens in Edmonds and Woodway. See young gardens and mature landscapes, new cultivars and traditional favorites, novel approaches for planting challenging spaces, creative ideas for incorporating edibles and imaginative options for outdoor gathering spaces. Summerfest: The free festival is from 1 to 3 p.m. July 24 at Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett. Bring the whole family to the arboretum.
