Authors are you preparing to create an audiobook but personally don't want to be the narrator?

Firstly let me say 'congratulations'. To writing a book and having it published, that's a journey in itself. The dynamic effort, the emotional rollercoaster and the above average quantity of biscuits or cookies eaten to make it happen. Whether you're self published or under the wing of a publisher - Well done for this achievement.

Audiobooks are increasingly popular. Personally I find time to listen when I'm cooking, or sometimes at bedtime depending how lively the narrative.

If turning your book into, an audio version was something you had considered, or perhaps your publisher has, then it's a whole new project in itself. It also means deciding who will be the narrator. I know creatives don't always want to be in the limelight, they want their creation to be. And we aren't all comfortable with the sound of our own voice. You remember recording the answer phone voice message and how many retakes did you do before it sounded ok!

I enjoy reading out loud, the narration, the conversations and being part of creating the entertainment experience. A few years ago I was curious about podcasting and went on to write and record my own podcast - Easy Like Sunday Morning Holistic Living or via my website www.naturallylinzi.com/podcast

I am enthusiastic to narrate a book and thought why not simply say that and post on LinkedIn!

I can do a convincing witchy character. I have a female British southern/London accent that sounds articulate, casual and calm or with an educational, slightly posh (elegant) voice. I have voice demo reels. I have been told that I both look and sound like Helen Mirren. Oh that I should look that good into my wisdom years.

So if you are at the stage of commissioning a narrator and would like to get in touch to discuss how we might collaborate.

Ta ta for now
