WARREN — BRITE Energy Innovators will partner with TechGROWTH Ohio, a collaboration that will allow the downtown Warren tech startup incubator to support new energy entrepreneurs in the state.

TechGROWTH, at Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, connects early-stage companies in the health care, advanced energy and environment, digital interactive media and others sectors with growth tools and sources of capital.

It operates in 19 counties in the southeastern region of Ohio. The move allows BRITE to expand its focus, much of which so far has been in the Youngstown, Akron and Cleveland markets.

“This partnership provides critical geographic inroads for us,” Rick Stockburger, BRITE CEO, said. “We have a growing offering of services to provide startups to overcome commercialization obstacles, but we need a strong partner in that historically rich energy region to help us move forward. We have that in TechGROWTH.”
