The Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas will be hosting family art workshops twice a week through August.

The focus will be on art from all over the world.

Workshops will be 5:30 p.m. Thursdays and 2 p.m. Saturdays.

The workshops include hands-on activities and are all free of charge.

These workshops are part of the Blue Star Museums program and are made possible through a Texas Commission on the Arts grant and individual donations to the Museum Annual Fund.

The Blue Star Museums program is a collaborative effort of the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families and the Department of Defense with more than 2,000 participating museums across the country. These museums offer free admission to U.S. active-duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The WFMA does not regularly charge admission, however, they are proud to be part of the Blue Star Museum system and showing appreciation for these military families. These Blue Star Museums are a way for military families to feel connected to their communities, especially for those who have recently moved to a new station.
