Ballot members

The Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District is currently seeking applicants to serve on the Measure E Bond Oversight Committee. As part of the district’s commitment to accountability and transparency and in compliance with legal requirements, the district has created an independent citizens’ Oversight Committee which annually reviews the district’s compliance with the terms of Measure E. The committee includes parents/guardians and community members. Applications are available now via the district website at www.lgsuhsd.org. Individuals may also stop by the Superintendent’s Office at 17421 Farley Road West, Los Gatos or email jmarashian@lgsuhsd.org to obtain an application. All applications are due by Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. Applications will be reviewed by the LGSUHSD Board of Trustees at their Oct. 23 meeting. Additional information is available on the District website at lgsuhsd.org.

High school football

Love high school football as much as the 49ers do? The tradition of high school double-headers continues at Levi’s Stadium on Sept. 21 with Saratoga vs. Santa Clara at 5 p.m. followed by Los Gatos vs. Homestead (Cupertino) at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets in the lower bowl of Levi’s Stadium are now on sale; entry is $15 for under 18 and $20 for adults at TicketMaster.com.

Pet parade planner?

Civic organizers would like to put together an annual Pet Parade, possibly hold it on Sept. 22, but they need a volunteer to lead the charge. If you think you could organize adorable pets — and their constant companions — to parade down the Village’s Big Basin Way, then contact Jill Hunter at jshuntercc@gmail.com.
