Shots fired in gentleman's club during robbery

A man who fired shots during a robbery at a Lawrenceburg strip club Wednesday before fleeing in a car was captured, police said.

The owner of Concepts, Bruce LaGory, said four patrons and six employees were inside when a man came in demanding cash and fired at least a half dozen times.

No injuries have been reported

“A small chase ensued and a couple blocks from here he wrecked his car and we got him in custody,” Lawrenceburg Police Chief Donald Combs said.

Calls about the shots came in at around 5 p.m., an emergency dispatcher said.

Concepts is located near Lawrenceburg High School which rescheduled its Meet Your Tiger Night to give police space for the investigation, according to a tweet sent out by superintendent Karl Galey.

LaGory said none of the women working in the club knew the suspect and told him they’d seen him in the club earlier in the afternoon not long after they opened at 1 p.m. Then, the suspect returned back to the club around 4 p.m. and opened fire.

Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens said authorities are still collecting evidence and could not elaborate on what kind of damage the lounge sustained.

The suspect's name has not been released at this time.

No other information was immediately available.
