The owner, Dr. Peter Mann used the time to put many new safety precautions in place. Smile Arts of NY re-opened on June 1, 2020 to service the NYC community. The office is conveniently located near Grand Central Station. Open 7 days a week to accommodate busy schedules of most New Yorkers.

Smile Arts of NY tests every patient for antibodies on arrival. Even the staff is tested weekly as well. Dr. Peter Mann expressed that “this may be the only office in the New York area to have such thorough safety measures. The patients really seem to appreciate it, it’s just a simple finger prick and ten extra minutes of their time. Our staff feels much safer as well with testing on site.” There are many other safety precautions in place, UV Lights filter the air, a special UV Light used by ambulances disinfects the room after each patient, and the office is disinfected regularly. “We want to leave nothing to chance, safety is the most important thing on our minds,” says Dr Peter Mann.

Smile Arts of New York has seen an uptick in emergencies since re-opening on June 1. “People just didn’t feel safe coming to the dentist for a few months,” says Dr. Mann. “Now we are seeing more broken teeth, cracked teeth, swollen gums, and other problems that could have been avoided with routine dental visits.”
