Native plant gardeners can raise their botany IQ at a three-part course for gardeners of all skill levels. Find out how plants respond to their environment at the class, meeting three times online, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. July 29, and Aug. 5 and 12, on Zoom. Tickets $100. Classes will be recorded. Summer evening strolls: The gardens of the Huntington are open for strolling 4:30-8 p.m. Friday-Sunday until August. Members and the public with advance reservations or pre-purchased tickets can enjoy the Huntington at twilight. At the Homestead: The Homestead Museum, with its landmark homes, cemetery, and gardens, is open for outdoor, self-guided tours from noon-4 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Admission is free and masks are required for visitors ages 2 and older. Indoor tours of historic homes have resumed. Tour capacity will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Workman House tours will be offered at noon and 2 p.m. and tours of La Casa Nueva are set at 1 and 3 p.m. The Homestead specializes in the history of greater Los Angeles between 1830-1930.
