Grace Kathleen (Kachelhoffer) Wiggen

Wiggen, Grace Kathleen Kachelhoffer Grace died on October 13, 2019 in Rochester, MN. She was born in 1922 in Whapeton, North Dakota to Charles and Mabel Kachelhoffer. She was valedictorian of her class, and received a teaching degree from the University of North Dakota. Grace taught in Fosston, where she met and married Norm Wiggen. After they moved to Proctor then to Columbia Heights, Norm and Grace had three children, Nancy, Norma, & Cooper. Grace received a Master's in Library Science from the U of M and served as librarian at Patrick Henry High School until her retirement. Grace was passionate about her family, her faith, and social justice, particularly for women and children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her daughter Nancy. Survived by her sister, Paulene Worner, daughter Norma (Peter), her son Cooper (Elizabeth), grandchildren Louis, Elizabeth (Adam), Julia, and great grandson Miles. Services will be held at Christ UMC, Rochester on October 19th at 11:00 AM with a visitation at 10:00 AM. Memorials may be directed to Columbia Heights UMC or Christ UMC, Rochester.
