This initial project was founded by Tanya Dadlani and Benny Sun, two seniors at Ridge High School, who wanted to make a positive impact on the area. After researching many ideas, they focused on an eGift Card Program and reached out to the Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Dadlani explains, “Covid-19 turned our lives upside down, and we wanted to find a way to strengthen our community, our area, as we begin to bounce back. We had the idea of starting a community eGift Card and reached out to the BTCC. We are so grateful to Mr. Al LiCata, BTCC President, for listening to us and supporting the program.”

Sun adds, “ We highly encourage Somerset Hills residents to support the eGift Card Program, which will in turn help small business. The eGift Cards can be redeemed at a variety of businesses, and they are super easy to get and use.”

Ridge High School Junior Sarah Ouyang, another intern at the BTCC, worked alongside Tanya and Benny. She exclaims, “I believe this eGift Card will bring our greater community together and allow everyone to benefit. I’m really excited for it’s launching!” Jack Brenner, a Junior at Ridge & an intern shared, “I'm really excited that the eGift Card Program is being launched and can't wait for others to buy and use it for goods and services!”

“The new Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce eGift Cards cater to everyone! They can be redeemed at a wide assortment of businesses and the list of participating businesses continues to grow. The card is an easy and effective gift idea which supports the local businesses that have helped our communities over the decades. Furthermore, they are a perfect way to help these businesses rebound after all we’ve been through this year. It’s a program with even greater potential than many realize. I personally think it’s amazing to have such forward thinking youth in our community that can recognize a need and work to address it in a positive manner. The Chamber is so pleased to be working with Tanya Dadlani, Benny Sun and Sarah Ouyang,” concludes LiCata.
