The East Jackson girls golf team took an early lead in the Cascade Conference race Thursday.
The Trojans carded a 190 at the Calderone Golf Club in Grass Lake to take top honors at their first league jamboree of the fall season.
Michigan Center came in second place with a 214, while Napoleon finished third with a 231. Grass Lake (246), Hanover-Horton (254), Vandercook Lake (254) and Addison (300) rounded out the team scoring.
East Jackson’s Alexis Brzezinski took individual medalist honors with a 42, while teammate Jordan Goostrey finished with a 47 to tie for runner-up honors with Kamryn Shannon of Michigan Center, Morgan LaFaive of Vandercook Lake.
