48 cases of vaping-related illnesses under investigation in Wisconsin

(CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is reporting 48 cases of confirmed or probable vaping-related illnesses are under investigation. 

The number of cases in Wisconsin has increased from 35 last week. Counties with cases include Adams, Dane, Dodge, Door, Grant, Green, Jefferson, Kenosha, La Crosse, Marathon, Milwaukee, Monroe, Portage, Racine, Sauk, Sheboygan, St. Croix, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha, and Winnebago.

Nationwide, at least 530 people in 38 states have been sickened. Seven people have died from vaping across the country with the latest death reported in California. 

No deaths have been reported in Wisconsin.
