Virtually every week, a friend frantically texts me, asking which eye cream will get rid of the itty-bitty fine lines or dark circles or bags around her eyes. And every week, I point them to an editor-approved eye cream or break the news that dark circles can't be cured (sorry, they're in your DNA) or tell them that wrinkles are a natural part of life.

But clearly, my friend group isn’t alone in their face goals, because right now, thousands of people on Amazon are currently freaking out about an eye cream called the LilyAna Naturals Eye Cream that they claim to has revolutionized their faces.

“Incredible product!” reads one verified review. “Still cannot believe what a difference it has made in the lines and wrinkles around my eyes. I use it twice a day, and actually use it for my entire face and my neck. My skin feels so soft, and lines are disappearing.” And, reads another review, “ I LOVE this cream! I noticed a change in my eyes within days of using it.”

Sounds promising, but considering the internet is frequently full of lies, I ran the ingredients list by a dermatologist to see whether or not this eye cream is worth the hype. The conclusion? Maybe. (I know—so helpful.)

The cream is filled with a mix of moisturizers, like coconut oil, rosehip seed oil, sunflower seed oil, and neem seed oil, all of which are “very hydrating and will help to reduce the look of fine lines temporarily,” says dermatologist Mona Gohara, MD, associate clinical professor at Yale University.

It’s also formulated with vitamin C and E, two antioxidants that help protect skin from wrinkle-causing free-radical damage, while also brightening dark spots and discoloration over time. And as an added bonus, “the provitamin A in the cream may help bolster your collagen production,” says Dr. Gohara. Translation: This cream could, possibly, maybe give you tighter, smoother under eyes with prolonged use.

Of course, you can get similar results from using literally any hydrating face cream, and even better results if that face cream has retinol in it. But if you have ultra-sensitive skin that can’t handle most anti-aging formulas or you just really, really want to use a natural formula, try this one out. It’s pretty affordable and gentle, which means, at worst, you can use it as a body cream if you absolutely hate it for your face.
