Memphis junior forward Lance Thomas entered the transfer portal, The Commercial Appeal confirmed Friday.

Thomas is the second member of Tigers basketball team to seek a transfer this season. Junior forward Ahmad Rand, who has since signed with Oregon State, left Memphis on Dec. 31.

Thomas arrived at Memphis more than two years ago, sitting out the 2018-19 season after transferring from Louisville. The Georgia native has played in all 12 of the Tigers' games this season, but he's played fewer than four minutes three times, including Thursday's win over Wichita State. Thomas is averaging 2.1 points and 2.1 rebounds  this season.

In 13 starts as a sophomore, Thomas averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds a game.

The Tigers (7-5, 3-2 AAC) return to action at 3 p.m. Sunday at East Carolina.
