MARCI: THE CRASH HAPPENED HERE AT THE SHEATH ON 286 AND PLUM. DOWN PINE VALLEY DRIVE. HIS IS WHAT THE SCENE LOOKED LIKE SHORTLY AFTER WE ARRIVED. SEVERAL PLUM POLICE VEHICLES AS WELL AS VARIOUS VEHICLES THAT WERE RACKED, AND MEDICAL OFFICIALS HERE AS WELL. THIS IS WHAT THE WITNESS TOLD ME HE SAW WHAT WORKING CONSTRUCTION ACROSS THE STREET. >> I HEARD A LOT OF LOUD CRASHES , THROUGH FOUR CRASHES, COME RUNNING OVER TO THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT, AND FIND THE FIRST SUBARU WAS FLIPPED OVER. TWO OTHER CARS CRASHED INTO. ANOTHER BYSTANDER LAYING ON THE GROUND IN SHEETS. THEN THE CAR THAT DIDN’T ALL WAS CONTINUING TO SKIRT TIRE AND SQUEAL WHILE ITS PLOWED INTO THE BACK OF THE LAST CAR. Four people were taken to the hospital Monday after an accident involving several vehicles in Plum, authorities said.Click the video player above to see video from the scene of the accident.The crash was reported in the 2000 block of Golden Mile Highway (Route 286) at Pine Valley Drive.A worker at a construction job across the street said he heard "loud crashes" and ran to the scene, finding one rolled-over vehicle and two other cars that had been hit.Plum Police Chief Jeffrey Armstrong said a vehicle that was leaving Citizens Bank suddenly accelerated and struck other cars.Five vehicles were involved, including one at a gas pump at Sheetz, police said.Download the WTAE app to stay connected with breaking news.

Four people were taken to the hospital Monday after an accident involving several vehicles in Plum, authorities said.

The crash was reported in the 2000 block of Golden Mile Highway (Route 286) at Pine Valley Drive.
