RUTH Langsford has tried out a bizarre anti-snoring trick on a new reality show - but you may feel a bit silly trying it out in public.
The TV presenter decided to try her hand at a 'snoring workout' in the gym, after husband Eamonn Holmes, who sleeps for just three hours-a-night, charmingly compared her snoring to the sound of a warthog.
The couple, who are both 58 and have been together for 21 years, were appearing on Channel 5 reality show How To Get A Good Night's Sleep.
And Ruth gamely tried out vocal exercises designed to strengthen the airways - along with Britain's loudest snorer Jenny Chapman.
A quarter of British couples admit that snoring affects their sex lives, while one in ten are considering a DIVORCE because of snoring-induced sleepless nights.
With this in mind, Ruth will try out lots of different techniques in tonight's show - much to Eamonn's delight - including humming Happy Birthday while poking her tongue out at different angles.
Ruth joked: "These exercises are easy and can be done practically anywhere, although you might not want to do this next one on the morning commute, unless of course you want a seat to yourself on the bus."
Ruth shared a preview of the unusual exercise on Instagram last night, where her followers joked she "sounds like (she's) had too many gins" and asked: "How on earth did you keep a straight face"?
But others tagged their partners, encouraging them to try it for themselves.
Ruth will also showcase a chin strap, designed to silence snorers who sleep with their mouths open, in the show.
But it's probably not one for the first sleepover with the new lad or lady in your life - as Eamonn charmingly said it "looks like a horse's harness".
The show also sees Eamonn visit a sleep therapist, who tells him his insomnia is boosting his risk of diabetes, heart disease and dementia.
Eamonn has worked on early morning TV for decades, with gigs on Sunrise and This Morning with co-host Ruth, waking somewhere between 2am and 6am.
In more TV host news, Holly Willoughby’s second Marks & Spencer collection has been revealed, including a £59 tartan midi dress and £39.50 yellow bag.
While Keira Knightley has BANNED her daughter from watching Disney princess films - here's why.
How To Get A Good Night’s Sleep is on Channel 5 tonight at 9pm.
